First of all, I personally stay away from bulk email lists of all kinds. I don’t care who they come from, how great they are supposed to be and how “inexpensive” they are.

At best, you could end up losing your money and upsetting a whole bunch of people who never consented to receiving email from you.

At worst, you could get banned by the Internet Service Providers and end up in some legal trouble on top of that.

The much better way to go is to set up a landing page that is designed to do one thing and one thing only – capture the prospects name and email address. Then you drive as much traffic to that page as possible.

You can entice them to give you their info by giving them something of high-perceived value (i.e. a free report or CD).

If you don’t want to give something away for free for fear of attracting a bunch of freebie seekers, you can sell a low-priced product (i.e. $7) in order to build a list of proven buyers.

Then after you have them on your list, continue to give them excellent value via helpful tips, advice, gifts, etc., – in addition to pitches for your product/service.

Whatever you do, you must keep on building your list, so you can follow up with your prospects on a regular basis, help them out and let them see why they should accept your offer(s).
